Welcome to Mrs. Afari’s room!
My name is Danielle Afari, and I am so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher! This is my is my tenth year teaching in RSU10, and my fourth as a kindergarten teacher. Before my time in Kindergarten, I was a Reading Recovery teacher and Title 1 interventionist. My experiences as a Reading Recovery teacher have helped me develop a deeper understanding of the process of literacy development in beginning readers, and the skills necessary for reading independence. I am happy to be putting that knowledge to use to instill a love of reading in every one of my kindergarten students.
I am looking forward to working together with you this school year. I know that with your help, we can make this is year of wonderful growth, both academically and socially, for your child. If at anytime you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call, email, or send a note in your child’s folder.
